Abstract:
The present application provides an application display method and an electronic device. In the method, the electronic device displays an application display area and a functional area in a screen in response to an operation of starting a target application triggered by a user. The functional area is used for displaying a control for a function associated with the application display area. The electronic device displays an application interface of the target application in the application display area. According to the method, the electronic device can divide the screen into a plurality of areas, the application interface of the target application is displayed in the application display area, and the control for the function associated with the application display area is displayed in the functional area, thereby providing a convenient triggering mode of an application function for a user while ensuring normal display of the target application, increasing the screen utilization rate, and improving user experience.
