Abstract:
Disclosed are an application management method and apparatus. The method comprises: when determining that an application to be managed satisfies a first condition, a terminal device controlling the application to enter a sleep state; after a data packet is acquired, determining, according to the current wake-up granularity of the application, whether the data packet satisfies a wake-up condition corresponding to the wake-up granularity; and when it is determined that the data packet satisfies the wake-up condition corresponding to the wake-up granularity, the terminal device waking up the application. By means of the present application, when an application satisfies a first condition, a terminal device can control the application to enter a sleep state; and when an acquired data packet satisfies a wake-up condition corresponding to the current wake-up granularity, the terminal device wakes up the application so as to prevent the application from missing the data packet. In addition, in the solution, when an application satisfies a first condition, the application can be controlled to enter a sleep state, and therefore, the application can be prevented from always being in a working state, thereby reducing the power consumption of the application and also prolonging the usage duration of a terminal.
