Description:
APPLIER FOR COSMETIC PRODUCTS OR OTHER SUBSTANCES FOR THE EYELASHES The present invention relates to an applier of cos- metic products or other substances to the eyelashes.

Cosmetic products to be applied to the eyelashes generally consist of so-called mascara which can be black, brown or of another colour. Other cosmetic prod- ucts can also consist of coloured or colourless reinforc- ing substances or other products.

Cosmetic substances are currently applied to the eyelashes by means of"pipe-brushes"attached to an end of a stem, which, when the product is closed, remains in- side a container, immersed in these substances. The stem is generally attached to a top, for example threaded, of the container.

The"pipe-brush"applier comprises a series of bris- tles arranged circumferentially around a portion of the end of the stem forming a substantially cylindrical ap- plying element.

1.

The main disadvantage of the known appliers of cos- metic substances relates to the quality of the applica- tion which is not always optimum and the necessity of ac- quiring great deftness to obtain the desired results.

In order to have an optimum application from an aes- thetic point of view, the cosmetic substances should be uniformly distributed on the eyelashes without the forma- tion of clots.

An objective of the present invention is to produce an applier of cosmetic products or other substances to the eyelashes, which allows a uniform distribution of said substances on the eyelashes together with an optimum aesthetic result.

A further objective of the present invention is to provide an applier of cosmetic products or other sub- stances to the eyelashes which is easy to use.

Yet another objective of the present invention is to produce an applier of cosmetic products or other sub- stances to the eyelashes which is particularly simple and functional, with reduced costs.

These objectives according to the present invention are achieved by producing an applier of cosmetic products or other substances to the eyelashes as illustrated in claim 1.

Further characteristics of an applier of cosmetic 2

products or other substances to the eyelashes are object of the dependent claims.

The characteristics and advantages of an applier of cosmetic products or other substances to the eyelashes according to the present invention will appear more evi- dent from the following illustrative and non-limiting de- scription, referring to the enclosed schematic drawings, in which: figure 1 is a view of an applier of cosmetic prod- ucts or other substances to the eyelashes according to the present invention; figure 2 shows an enlarged detail of the applier ac- cording to the present invention.

With reference to the figures, these show an applier of cosmetic products or other substances to the eye- lashes, indicated as 10.

The applier of cosmetic products 10, shown in the embodiment, is positioned at a portion of the end 11 of a stem 12 attached to a grip 13 which forms a closing top of a container 14 of cosmetic products or other sub- stances.

The top 13 can be stably fixed to the container 14, for example by means of threading 15.

When the product is closed, the applier 10, is kept inside the container 14 where it is immersed in the cos- 3

metic substances and from which it can be pulled out at the moment of use to transfer said substances to the eye- lashes.

The applier 10 comprises a set of teeth 16 prefera- bly separated by a constant interspace 17 in correspon- dence with the base of the applier itself and by a larger interspace 17'at the end. The length of the teeth 16 de- creases towards the free end of the applier 10.

The applier 10, which is therefore comb-shaped, is also arranged according to a slanting axis 18 with re- spect to the stem 12 of an angle a, for example equal to about 5°.

The applier 10 can be made of polypropylene or an- other plastic material.

The cosmetic products to be applied to the eyelashes by means of the applier 10 generally consist of so-called mascara which can be black, brown or of another colour.

Other cosmetic products can also consist of coloured or colourless reinforcing or curative products, or other substances.

The applier of cosmetic products or other substances to the eyelashes, object of the present invention, has the advantage of allowing a better application of the cosmetic substances by depositing the exact quantity of product onto the eyelashes, thus avoiding the formation 4

of clots.

Furthermore, the applier according to the present invention advantageously allows the eyelashes to be "combed"by curving them upwards.
