Abstract:
Provided is an aqueous coating composition such that it is possible to carry out fluororesin coating on a metal base material such as a copper foil without the occurrence of problems such as resin dust fall. This aqueous coating composition contains melt-moldable fluororesin particles (A), and is characterized by further containing a binder resin (B), a non–fluorine based surfactant (C), and water (D), wherein the weight reduction of the binder resin (B) at 400°C as measured under 10°C/min conditions in the presence of N2 is 55% or greater, and the binder resin (B) is included at a proportion of 10 mass% or less in relation to all of the solid matter of the coating composition.
