Abstract:
The object is to overcome disadvantages of conventional aqueous decolorable ink compositions for writing instruments. Thus, provided is an aqueous decolorable ink composition for writing instruments which can be decolored or can be discolored rapidly when a mark with the ink composition is followed by an decoloring ink composition, and has good workability. The ink composition comprises water, a basic dye which can be decolored with a reducing agent, and at least one auxiliary agent for decoloration selected from di(long-chain alkyl)di(lower alkyl)ammonium halides. The reducing agent is preferably sodium or potassium sulfite.
