An aqueous dispersion of gel particles which comprises water and, dispersed therein, gel particles that each have polymerizable groups, have a three-dimensionally crosslinked structure containing urethane and/or urea bonds, and contain, enclosed therein, at least a photopolymerization initiator and a resin; a process for producing the aqueous dispersion; and a method for forming an image using the aqueous dispersion.
