Abstract:
Provided is an aqueous ink composition for writing utensils which contains pigment microcapsules that are inhibited from aggregating or thereby causing clogging and which is excellent in terms of ink flow rate stability, etc. The aqueous ink composition for writing utensils is characterized by containing pigment microcapsules having, enclosed therein, at least a pigment and a fatty acid/polyhydric alcohol ester medium. It is preferable that the fatty acid/polyhydric alcohol ester have a melting point of 40°C or higher but not higher than 70°C.
