Abstract:
The present invention relates to: [1] aqueous ink containing water-insoluble polymer particles (A), an organic solvent (B), and water, wherein polymers constituting the water-insoluble polymer particles (A) are cross-linked, the organic solvent (B) includes polyhydric alcohol ether, and the viscosity change rate of the organic solvent (B) as represented by equation (1) is 140% or less; and [2] a printing method in which the aqueous ink described in [1] is used to print on a printing medium, wherein the water absorption amount of the printing medium per unit surface area is 0 to 10 g/m2 for a contact time of 100 ms between the printing medium and pure water.
