Abstract:
An aqueous pigment dispersion characterized by comprising a pigment, hydrophilic fumed silica, and an aqueous medium; an ink-jet recording ink including the aqueous pigment dispersion; and printed matter obtained using the aqueous pigment dispersion. The hydrophilic fumed silica has an average particle diameter of preferably 250 nm or smaller, the content of the hydrophilic fumed silica is preferably 20-300 mass% with respect to the pigment, and the content of the pigment is preferably 0.5-30 mass% with respect to the total amount of the aqueous pigment dispersion.
