Abstract:

An aqueous pigment paste suitable for producing offset ink by the flushing process, a process for producing the paste, and an offset ink produced by the flushing process. The paste is composed of 60-90 wt.% of water and 40-10 wt.% of a mixture of a lake pigment of an azo dye, prepared by the coupling reaction between a diazonium salt of an aromatic amine having a soluble group and a coupler component, with 3-15 wt.% of rosin and 1-20 wt.% of a vehicle for offset ink, each content being based on the azo dye.
