Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide: an aqueous resin composition which has excellent storage stability and wherewith a coating having excellent durability can be produced; and a method for producing the aqueous resin composition. The aqueous resin composition is characterized by comprising: an epoxysilane emulsion emulsified into water by one or at least two selected from non-ionic surfactants and anionic surfactants; and a water dispersion of a resin having a carboxyl group. The method for producing the aqueous resin composition is characterized by comprising: a step of emulsifying an epoxysilane into water by one or at least two selected from non-ionic surfactants and anionic surfactants; and a step of mixing the epoxysilane emulsion with the water dispersion of a resin having a carboxyl group.
