Abstract:
An arc detection circuit (10) which detects arcs occurring in a transmission path (36) in which power is transmitted from a power supply device (PV panel (30)) to a power conditioner (50), the arc detection circuit (10) comprising: a current detector (12) which detects the current flowing though the transmission path (36); a storage unit (18) which, when an arc is not present, stores base characteristics that are the frequency characteristics of the current flowing through the transmission path (36); and an arc evaluation unit (16) which, on the basis of the result of a comparison between the base characteristics and detection characteristics that are the frequency characteristics of the current detected by the current detector (12), evaluates whether an arc has occurred.
