Abstract:
An arc extinguish chamber (1) for an isolated circuit breaker and an isolated circuit breaker using the arc extinguish chamber. The isolated circuit breaker includes an arc extinguish chamber, wherein the arc extinguish chamber is provided with a fixed main contact (7), a moving main contact (10), a fixed arcing contact (5) and a moving arcing contact (11) arranged in an up-to-down direction, the fixed main contact and the fixed arcing contact are located above the moving main contact and the moving arcing contact corresponding thereto when the isolated circuit breaker is open, the fixed arcing contact and the moving arcing contact are located on inner sides of the fixed main contact and the moving main contact, a shield cover (8) shielding the fixed arcing contact when the circuit breaker is open is disposed between the fixed arcing contact and the fixed main contact, and the shield cover has a lower shield end located below the fixed arcing contact when the circuit breaker is open. By arranging a shield cover in the arc extinguish chamber, the isolated circuit breaker can be used as a circuit breaker and an isolating switch, which has a simple structure, is easy to use, and can effectively reduce design and manufacturing costs of the isolated circuit breaker.
