Abstract:
An arc extinguish chamber of a molded case circuit breaker (50) comprises a front arc isolating cover and a rear arc isolating cover (10, 20); the front end of the front arc isolating cover is provided with a square opening (11); an outlet of the square opening is provided with an arc blocking boss (17) towards an arc extinguish chamber; two sides of the square opening are respectively provided with an arc absorbing groove (13) having arc adsorbing sheets (12); two side surfaces in the front arc isolating cover are provided with projections (16) and grooves (15) at intervals, and first and second arc extinguishing grid sheets (40, 30) are successively inserted into the grooves from top to bottom; the rear end face of the first arc extinguishing grid sheet protrudes relative to the rear end face of the second arc extinguishing grid sheet; the front ends of the arc extinguishing grid sheets are provided with first and second U-shaped opening ends (41, 31); the root part of each first and second U-shaped opening end is protruded forwards to form a protruding groove (42) and provided backwards with a groove (32). The rear end face of the first arc extinguishing grid sheet protrudes relative to the rear end face of the second arc extinguishing grid sheet, so as to change the discharging direction of blast generated by arc combustion; two sides of the square opening are respectively provided with the arc absorbing grooves in which the arc adsorbing sheets are arranged, a second arc adsorbing function is achieved; thus the arc extinguishing effect is improved, and the breaking capability of the breaker is greatly improved.
