Abstract:
Disclosed are an arc extinguishing unit and an air circuit breaker comprising same. An arc extinguishing unit according to an embodiment of the present invention provides: side plates spaced apart from each other and arranged to face each other; a plurality of grids arranged between the side plates, spaced apart from each other, and coupled to each of the side plates; a magnet portion which forms a magnetic field for changing a path of an arc formed between a fixed contact point and a movable contact point which is arranged to be spaced apart from the fixed contact point, the magnetic portion being arranged adjacent to the outermost grid, which is adjacent to the fixed contact point, among the plurality of grids.
