Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to stabilize a welded state when a base material is a galvanized steel plate in a welding method in which the feeding rate of a welding wire is switched in an alternating manner between a normal feeding period and a reverse feeding period. Provided is an arc welding control method in which: a base material is a galvanized steel plate; the feeding rate of a welding wire is switched in an alternating manner between a normal feeding period and a reverse feeding period; and welding is performed by alternating between a short circuit period and an arc period. In the arc period, control is performed such that a first arc period Ta1 in which a first arc current Ia1 is applied, a second arc period Ta2 in which a second arc current Ia2 is applied, and a third arc period Ta3 in which a third arc current Ia3 is applied are switched therebetween as time passes, so that Ia1 > Ia2 > Ia3 is satisfied. Constant voltage control is performed in the second arc period Ta2 and constant current control is performed in the first arc period Ta1. The first arc period Ta1 and/or the value of the first arc current Ia1 is made to change in accordance with the amount of zinc attached per unit area of the base material.
