Abstract:
A consumable-electrode-type arc welding device is provided with a welding power source for supplying electric power between a welding wire (6) and a base metal (5), and a welding robot for causing a welding torch (11) to move while weaving along a groove (5a), a distal-end part of the welding wire (6) being caused to approach a molten portion (7) formed in the base metal (5) by the arc and the base metal (5) being welded. In the arc welding device, a transition is made to a non-buried state in which the distal-end part of the welding wire (6) temporarily does not approach a space for a predetermined time period, the result of sensing an amount of deviation in at least the non-buried state is acquired from an arc sensor for sensing the amount of deviation of a welding center position with respect to the position of the groove (5a) on the basis of a welding current flowing between the welding wire (6) and the base metal (5), and the position of the welding torch (11) with respect to the groove (5a) is corrected on the basis of a sensing result of the arc sensor in the non-buried state.
