Abstract:
The present invention provides an arc welding method capable of achieving a reduction in sputter generation amount and enhancement of electrodeposition coating performance of a welding portion even in the case where a shield gas containing a CO2 gas of 80 volume% or more is used. Provided is an arc welding method for welding a steel plate while alternately switching feeding between regular feeding and inverse feeding of a welding wire. A wire which contains Si: 0.01 mass% to 0.30 mass% (both inclusive), S: 0.001 mass% to 0.020 mass% (both inclusive), and Ti: 0.05 mass% to 0.30 mass% (both inclusive), has remaining chemical components appropriately controlled, and has a value of more than 1.0 determined from Expression (1), and a shield gas containing a CO2 gas of 80 volume% or more relative to an entire volume of the shield gas are used to perform welding at a frequency of 40 Hz to 200 Hz (both inclusive) with feeding of one regular feeding and inverse feeding as one cycle.
