Abstract:
Arc welding process adapted to weld the circumference of a fixed tube or the like, wherein the portion to be welded is covered with a shielding gas. A pair of gas nozzles (19) for injecting gas streams are disposed to face each other at the tip of a welding torch (10) to form the arc between the torch (10) and an article to be welded into a flat shape in cross section by the action of the gas streams which are injected simultaneously from the nozzles (19) to thereby weld the article with the flat arc.
