Abstract:
A architectural glass block (11) has the shape of a pair of boxes with a bottom and no top. Glass molded bodies (11a), the bottom parts of which are a light-transmitting surface (11c), are fused integrally at mutually open end edges, and a crack-inducing part (S) is formed in a tensile strain generation area (Tb) caused by the difference between the internal and external pressures at side face (11d). In addition, a glass block wall construction is provided that comprises multiple architectural glass blocks (11) in which the crack-inducing part (S) has been formed in the side face (11d), fixed by means of reinforcing bars and joint-filling material provided between the glass blocks.
