Following is the claim for this invention: -

In this invention we have a location where we mark different areas (area could be a polygon, or of any shape) and there are Wireless Access Points connected to different Wireless Routers providing Internet access to wireless users in this location. Here we define different policies for different client devices considering their unique label like Media Access Control (MAC) address and these policies are like whether the device user is allowed to use network resources or not (device filtering), can the device user access key information related to that area like for example in hospitals when the doctor enters the area assigned to a patient then his device can access the patient’s medical files, etc. , can we make recommendations to the device user based on his movements or actions in the area or the exact location in the area where the device user has spent maximum time, check whether the device user is even allowed to enter in the area as area could be restricted for certain device users only, etc. The above area based policy enforcement helps us to provide the customer to create their own custom policy or rules and help is better customer experience. The above novel technique of providing area based policy enforcement for devices is the claim for this invention.
