Abstract:
An arm blank for an upper arm and a lower arm for forming a double wishbone suspension device of an automobile, the arm blank having a flat hollow closed cross-sectional shape, reduced in size and weight, and having increased strength.
An arm blank adapted for a suspension device of an automobile and having a body consisting of a metal member. The metal member has a flat hollow closed cross-sectional shape having a pair of long sides arranged so as to face each other, and the metal member is formed integrally in the longitudinal direction thereof. The body has a first curved section curved in a plane substantially parallel to the pair of long sides.
