Abstract:
Provided is an armrest for vehicles, which is capable of providing both superior stiffness with respect to an input load from above and superior shock absorbability with respect to a shock from the side. According to the present invention, an armrest core material (20) that constitutes a door armrest (2) has a shelf part (22) that extends along a door trim and that is used as an armrest, and slit parts (27, 28) that are provided along the extension direction of the shelf part (22). Moreover, the shelf part (22) has a bead shape in which a plurality of longitudinal wall parts (23a, 24a), which are continuous in the extension direction of the shelf part (22), are arranged side by side in the direction perpendicular to the surface of the door trim.
