Title:
AROMATIC AMINE DERIVATIVE AND ORGANIC ELECTROLUMINESCENT ELEMENT EMPLOYING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2004/041774
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
An aromatic amine derivative represented by the following general formula (1); and an organic electroluminescent element which has at least one thin organic layer containing either the aromatic amine derivative alone or a mixture of the derivative. The element has a high luminescent efficiency even at a low voltage and retains a long life. It can emit blue light even at high temperatures. (1) (In the formula, Ar1 and Ar2 each is naphthyl, etc.; Ar3 to Ar6 each is phenyl, naphthyl, phenanthryl, etc.; Ar7 to Ar10 each is 1,4-phenylene, etc.; and L is a single bond, etc.; provided that they satisfy the requirement (1) and/or (2): (1) at least one of Ar3 to Ar6 is a fused aryl having 10 to 50 nucleus carbon atoms and (2) at least either of Ar1 and Ar2 is a fused aryl having 12 to 50 nucleus carbon atoms.)
