Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an organic EL element which has a long service life, while achieving a lower driving voltage. An aromatic amine derivative according to the present invention is represented by formula (1). In formula (1), each of Ar1 and Ar2 represents an aryl group or a heteroaryl group; each of L1 and L2 represents a single bond, an arylene group or a heteroarylene group; each of R1-R4 represents an alky group, an aryl group, a heteroaryl group, an alkoxy group, an aralkyl group, an aryloxy group, an arylthio group, an alkoxycarbonyl group, a halogen atom, a cyano group, a nitro group, a silyl group, a hydroxyl group or a carboxyl group; each of a and b represents an integer of 0-4; and each of R5-R12 represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an aryl group, a heteroaryl group or a silyl group. In this connection, R5 and/or R7 is not a hydrogen atom, and in cases where R5 is not a hydrogen atom, R6 is not a hydrogen atom, while in cases where R7 is not a hydrogen atom, R8 is not a hydrogen atom.
