Description:
Arrangement for a cover element The present invention relates to an attachment device for a turnable actuation handle for an openable cover element, such as a door and/or a window by a snap mechanism.

In connection with cover elements, such as doors and windows, it is previously known to allow attaching handles for the opening and shutting, respectively, of the cover element in question by means of elastic parts, such as shown, for instance, in FR 2 874 228 Al, FR

2 861 783 and EP 1 195 482 Al . However, in doing so, it is not possible to achieve a desired position control of the handles in connection with the attachment, and to, in connection therewith, also be fastenable to the intended rosette by common simple means .

Therefore, the main object of the present invention is primarily to solve said problem in an efficiently working way by simple and efficiently working means .

Said object is achieved by means of a device according to the present invention that essentially is characterized in that a lock sleeve, which has a number of radially resilient lock tongues extending axially, is arranged to form coupling between a handle grip and a rosette, respectively, which in turn exhibit stoppers locking said lock sleeve and said handle grip, respectively, for axial holding of the respective handle grip to the respective interconnectable rosette. The invention is described below by way of a number of preferred embodiment examples, reference being made to the accompanying drawings, in which

According to the present invention, an attachment device 1 and 101, respectively, that is intended for a turnable actuation handle 2; 102 for a cover element 3; 103 such as a door 3 and/or a window 103, openable by a snap mechanism 4; 104, comprises a lock sleeve 5; 105 that has a number of radially resilient lock tongues 5A-5D; 105A-105D extending axially. Said lock sleeve 5; 105 is arranged to form coupling between a handle grip 6; 106 and a rosette 7; 107, respectively. Said lock tongues 5A-5D; 105A-105D have in turn stoppers 8; 108 for locking axial holding of said lock sleeve 5; 105 and said handle grip 6; 106, respectively, to the respective interconnectable rosette 7; 107, which in turn has fitting internal resilient tongues 9; 109 having internal stoppers 10; 110. In the interconnected position I, said resilient lock tongues and lock stoppers are arranged to co-operate with each other so that the appurtenant stoppers in their co-operation with each other are interlocked but have the possibility of detachably being disconnectable from each other by ra- dially prising apart the tongues and pulling apart the sleeve and the rosette from each other in the axial direction. In order to allow efficient manufacture of the device 1; 101, at least the lock sleeve 5; 105 and the rosette 7; 107 are formed of plastic, but preferably also other parts included may consist of plastic or another suitable material.

Internally in its hollow space 11; 111, said lock sleeve 5; 105 has paired radial stoppers 12; 112 to provide co-operation with congruent chases 13; 113 in the front coupling end portion 14; 114 of the handle grip 6; 106, in order to give the handle grip 6; 106 the correct position definition and before subsequent pressing-on of the handle grip 6; 106 internally in the interconnect- able lock sleeve 5; 105 and rosette 7; 107 and locking with a thickening placed in the end on the front end por- tion 14; 114 of the handle grip 6; 106.

Below, the invention is first described applied as an attachment device 1 at a door 3 internally in as well as externally on the respective side of the leaf of the door where a connecting rod 15 extends in a shape-adapted way to a guide 16 and the respective handle grip 6 through the door leaf and to the respective side of the door leaf with a spring device 17 that is co-operating with each a guide 16 and that is arranged to act on the handle grip 6 for it to assume the intended grip position.

The spring device 17 is suitably formed of a plurality of helical springs that are contained 17A, 17B in pairs between the rosette 7 and a spring cover 18 when the springs 17A, 17B lie in a fitting arched reception case 19, a portion 20 of the guide 16 being arranged to act between paired springs 17A, 17B, whereby the springs act in mutually opposite directions upon actuation of the handle 2 with a smooth return as a result. The guide 16 is formed of an arm-like part having a central shape-adapted opening 21 for a said rod 15, and paired resilient lock pins 22, 23 extending in a direction in common with the intended reception direction of a rod in said guide 16 are receivable in arched slots 24 in said rosette 7. The respective lock pin 22, 23 is formed of axially projecting resilient tongues 22, 23 situated at a mutual distance from each other, the respective outer resilient tongues 22 having an outwardly angled radial lock lug 25 each of which is receivable in a deepened portion 26 of the respective said arched slots 24. A protection 18 covering said springs 17 is formed of arched paired cups that are open in both directions for the receipt of said springs 17 therein in the formed hollow space between said protection 18 and the internal bottom portion 19 of the rosette 7, but are closed by end walls 27 in the outer ends 18A, 18B of the springs and protection 18 and forming stops for the springs.

A rosette 7, which is pressed in and held in a fitting boring on the respective side of the door on each side of the door leaf, which are pressed on by means of sharp wedge-shaped projections 28 at a shoulder 29 on the sleeve-shaped fastening part of the rosette and are united by means of common screws 30 and sleeve-shaped nuts 31 that are received in grooved holes 32, is preferably concealingly covered by a cover plate 33 that has means 34 for clamping onto said rosette 7. Alternatively, also a washer 35 having screw holes 36 may cover the rosette 7.

Internally in the respective handle 2 and its front handle grip 6 intended for coupling, there is also a shape-adapted recess 37 that is shape adapted to the rod 15 to be fixedly clamped therein after the receipt in the correct position. Accordingly, it is important to mount fitting parts correctly on the rod 15 so that a correct angular setting is accomplished for the different parts 16, 7, 35, 2, and so on.

Figs, lla-lld show steps for the mounting of the handle 2 to the sleeve 5 and further onto the rosette 7. The different steps are terminated by section views along the arrows in the different figures.

An attachment device 101, which is in- tended to be mounted at a window 103 onto its inwardly facing side or to French doors such as balcony and terrace doors without using any springs for the springing-back motion of the handle, comprises a mechanism that consists of a rod 115 - preferably having a number of transverse weak- ening portions 150 distributed along its length and received by an end guide 151, a rosette 107, and preferably a covering cover housing 152 - that is connected in a shape-adapted way with the handle grip 102 at its end portion 106 connecting to the end guide 151 and the rosette 107 and is held by means of the lock sleeve 105 in the way indicated above.

Said end guide 151 and rosette 107 are boltable to the casement of the window, etc., 103 by screws 153, preferably on its smooth inside. In doing so, the end guide 151 has paired axial projections 154 that extend along the rod 115 and are receivable in fitting recesses (not shown) in the window casement, or that they are turned in the direction of the hole-shaped interior of the rosette 107.

Attachment of the handle 102 is accomplished in the same way as has been indicated above by means of a lock sleeve 105 as well as a rosette 107 that function according to what has been mentioned above as in a said door handle attachment.

In the drawing in Fig. 16, there is shown encircled a thickening 160 in the rosette 107 for the guiding-in of the end portion 106 of the window handle 102 into the rosette 107, similar to the stoppers 12 in the lock sleeve 5 and for getting the handle 102 in the correct position and fitting to the rod 115.

The function and nature should have been understood with the aid of what has been described above and with reference to the accompanying drawings.

Naturally, the invention is not limited to the embodiments described above and shown in the accompanying drawings. Modifications are feasible, particularly as for the nature of the different parts, or by using an eguivalent technique, without departing from the protection area of the invention, such as it is defined in the claims .
