Abstract:
The invention relates to an arrangement for applying at least one transponder element (1) to an object (2). Said arrangement comprises at least one carrier layer (3) carrying the transponder element (1), which can be modified in terms of the dimensions thereof by activation, and/or can be coupled to at least one active layer (4; 4a, 4b) that can be modified in terms of the dimensions thereof by activation, in such a way that the distance between the transponder element (1) and the object (2) is increased by the activation. The increase in the distance between the transponder element and the object enables the transponder to be used even on a metallic base. Furthermore, the arrangement is very flat before activation, such that it can be stored on a roller conveyor. The method for applying a transponder element (1) to an object (2) comprises the following steps: arrangements respectively comprising a transponder element, in addition to a carrier layer (3) carrying the transponder element (1), are continuously provided on a conveyor, said carrier layer being variable in terms of the dimensions thereof by activation, and/or being couplable to at least one active layer (4; 4a, 4b) which is variable in terms of the dimensions thereof by activation, in such a way that the distance between the transponder element (1) and the object (2) increases by means of the activation; the arrangements are distributed over the object (2); and the distance between the transponder element (1) and the object (2) is increased.
