Title:
ARRANGEMENT FOR SEPARATING FLOATING SOLID PARTICLES AND/OR SOLID FIBERS FROM SOLID-LIQUID MIXTURES BY MEANS OF FLOTATION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2011/157253
Kind Code:
A4
Abstract:
The invention relates to an arrangement for separating floating solid particles and/or solid fibers from solid-liquid mixtures by means of flotation. The arrangement comprises a main process container (1), into which the solid-liquid mixture to be separated is introduced by means of a supply line (2), to which the air bubbles required to implement the flotation process are supplied. In order to produce said air bubbles, a diffuser (5) is present according to the invention, into the inlet of which a part of the liquid discharged from the main process container (1) is conducted and the nozzle arrangement of which has an air supply opening. The outlet of the diffuser is connected to the supply line (2) of the main process container (1) in such a way that the air bubbles, which are produced in the diffuser (5) from the intake of air into the part of the already treated liquid that is conducted through the diffuser (5), are introduced into the supply flow of the solid-liquid mixture to be treated.
