Abstract:
An array antenna device, in which transmission/reception modules each comprising a transmission circuit, a reception circuit, and a transmission/reception switching unit are respectively connected to a plurality of element antennas, causes a distributer to distribute and transmit a signal to be transmitted from a signal generator to the respective transmission circuits, causes a synthesizer to synthesize signals received from the respective reception circuits, and causes a receiver to receive a synthesized signal, while causing a transmission/reception control device to perform control by controlling the amplitudes and phases of signals passing through the transmission circuits and the reception circuits of the respective transmission/reception modules and switching between transmission and reception. When each of the transmission/reception modules is calibrated, the calibration is performed in accordance with a calibration value obtained by correcting a detection signal obtained by detecting the amplitude and phase of the signal received by the receiver by mutually coupled amplitude/phase information in spaces between the respective element antennas.
