Abstract:
This array antenna 10 comprises a plurality of antenna units 11. This array antenna 10 is provided with a patch substrate 12, a slotted substrate 13 and a liquid crystal layer 14. At least one of the patch substrate 12 and the slotted substrate 13 is provided with a liquid crystal alignment film 22, 23 on the liquid crystal layer 14 side. The liquid crystal alignment film 22, 23 is formed using a polymer composition that contains a compound (M) which has at least one structure selected from the group consisting of partial structures represented by formula (1) and nitrogen-containing heterocyclic rings. (In formula (1), R1 represents a hydrogen atom or a monovalent organic group having 1-10 carbon atoms; and each of R2 and R3 independently represents a divalent organic group, provided that the R2 and R3 moieties are not aromatic ring groups at the same time.)
