An array substrate, a manufacturing method thereof, a display panel, and a display apparatus. The array substrate comprises a substrate (110) and multiple pixel units (120). The pixel unit (120) comprises a pixel electrode (130) and a common electrode (140). The pixel electrode (130) and the common electrode (140) respectively comprise multiple first pixel electrode strips (131) and multiple first common electrode strips (141) arranged in parallel along a first direction. Each first common electrode strip (141) overlaps with at least one first pixel electrode strip (131). The pixel unit (120) comprises at least one pixel unit sub-area (150). The pixel unit sub-area (150) has a sub-area axis of symmetry (151). The first pixel electrode strips (131) of the pixel electrode (130) in the pixel unit sub-area (150) are symmetrically arranged relative to the sub-area axis of symmetry (151), and the first common electrode strips (141) of the common electrode (140) in the pixel unit sub-area (150) are symmetrically arranged relative to the sub-area axis of symmetry (151). On any side of the sub-area axis of symmetry (151), the first common electrode strip (141) is farther from or closer to the sub-area axis of symmetry (151) than the at least one first pixel electrode strip (131) overlapping with the same.
