The present invention relates to an arrestor apparatus for absorbing, dissipating, and extinguishing flames discharged during internal combustion in an internal combustion engine, and more particularly, to an arrestor apparatus for preventing the discharge of flames from an internal combustion engine, which provides good durability and convenience of use and replacement by preventing the deformation of and damage to a disk having a spring fixed thereto so as to absorb and even prevent shocks resulting from combustion, by using a fixing pin for fixing a resilient spring to a flat-plate-shaped disk instead of a bent disk, and enabling compression from abnormal pressure-induced combustion forces to be uniformly exerted against the disk. By fixedly installing fixing pins at certain positions on a lower portion of an arrestor of an internal combustion engine and concentrically about a flat-plate-shaped disk to fixedly support a resilient spring arranged in an inner portion of an arrestor, the resultant reduction in manufacturing costs, combined with the uniform distribution of pressure exerted by combustion forces on the flat-plate-shaped disk, can reduce the deformation of and damage to the disk, the fixing pin can provide convenience of use, reuse is made possible by a lack of damage incurred by other components, and replacement is made convenient.
