Abstract:
An article gripping device according to an embodiment of the present invention is provided with a gripping mechanism for gripping an article, an arm mechanism for moving the gripping mechanism, a state detecting sensor, and a controller. The state detecting sensor measures a gripping state when the gripping mechanism has gripped the article, and outputs a measurement result. The controller controls the operation of the gripping mechanism and the arm mechanism on the basis of a stability evaluating parameter for inferring whether or not the article has been dropped while the gripping mechanism that has gripped the article is being moved, and the measurement result from the state detecting sensor.
