An article management system according to the present invention is provided with: an article image storage unit (35) for storing a first article image, that is, an image of an article intended to be warehoused, in association with second slip information indicating the content of a slip corresponding to the article intended to be warehoused; an image acquisition unit (31) for photographing a slip for an article about to be warehoused and the article about to be warehoused; an image analysis unit (32) for acquiring, on the basis of the image of the slip photographed by the image acquisition unit (31) for the article about to be warehoused, second slip information indicating the content of the slip; and an image determination unit (34) for acquiring the first article image corresponding to the second slip information by using first slip information and the second slip information and comparing the first article image with a second article image, that is, the image photographed by the image acquisition unit (31) for the article about to be warehoused to determine whether or not the article about to be warehoused is the article intended to be warehoused.
