Abstract:
This article retrieval assistance system comprises a handy terminal (17) which transmits radio waves for wide area retrieval so as to excite first RFID tags (81), reads tag identification information recorded in the first RFID tags (81), and on the basis of the tag identification information that has been read, narrows a range (E1, E2) which includes an article (8) to be retrieved. In addition, the handy terminal transmits radio waves for narrow area retrieval so as to excite second RFID tags (82) located in the narrowed range, reads tag identification information recorded in the second RFID tags (82),and on the basis of the tag identification information that has been read, specifies the location of the article (8) to be retrieved.
