Abstract:
Provided is an article separating device that makes it possible to separate a predetermined quantity of articles while minimizing damage to the articles. An article separating device according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a plurality of article holding members capable of moving between at least an article holding position and an article release position; a base to which the plurality of article holding members are movably attached; and a drive mechanism for driving the plurality of article holding members. The article separating device is characterized in that the shape of the article holding members in the article holding position is a shape following the path of movement of the article holding members.
