Abstract:
An intermediate transfer device (6) which is capable of transferring an article (W) by moving a grip section (7) for a transfer device up and down against intermediate shelves (5) which are disposed higher than an article giving/receiving section (4) and lower than overhead carriers (2), and the article giving/receiving section (4) is provided so as to be vertically overlapped with the overhead carriers (2) and the article giving/receiving section (4), and is provided so as to move in the traveling direction with guided and supported by a guiding/supporting body (17) over a transfer position for the giving/receiving section, a transfer position for the intermediate shelves, and a save position during the article giving/receiving and a save position during temporary storage for avoiding the interference when the overhead carriers (2) transfer the article to and from the article giving/receiving section (4), or to and from the intermediate shelves (5), and the guiding/supporting body (17) is configured in such a manner that a space through which a grip section (3) and the article (W) can vertically pass when the overhead carriers (2) transfer the article (W) is formed.
