Abstract:
Provided are: an article with an anti-glare film, which has higher anti-glare effect in comparison to conventional articles with an anti-glare film; a production method which is capable of producing an article that has an anti-glare film having high anti-glare effect and high wear resistance, while being suppressed in cracking and coloring; and an image display device which has good visibility.
A method for producing an article with an anti-glare film, which comprises the following steps (i)-(iii).
(i) A step for forming a coating film by applying a coating liquid, which contains (A) a matrix precursor having a hydrolyzable group, (B) inorganic particles and (C) a liquid medium, to a base.
(ii) A step for accelerating hydrolysis of the coating film after the step (i).
(iii) A step for forming an anti-glare film by baking the coating film after the step (ii).
