Abstract:
Disclosed by the present invention is an artificial dielectric cylindrical lens sector-based multi-beam antenna, which is formed by using an artificial dielectric cylindrical lens as a carrier so as to highly integrate a plurality of antenna units, comprising: an artificial dielectric cylindrical lens 1, an antenna unit group 2, and a metal base plate 3; the antenna unit group 2 comprises a plurality of antenna units, each antenna unit being an independent body and being fixed onto the metal base plate 3 such that the two form an integral piece, being uniformly arranged at the same height in a row along a semi-circular peripheral surface of the cylindrical lens. The antenna of the present invention may achieve 180° full coverage in the horizontal plane, and the vertical plane measurement direction graph of each beam is 2-3 times wider than the vertical plane measurement direction graph of a conventional electrical adjustment antenna, while field intensity is optimized within the covered region, and thus an electrical adjustment mechanism is not needed. The present invention may effectively prevent the phenomenon wherein "no coverage is available under a tower" that tends to occur in conventional antennas, being particularly suitable for areas in which users are crowded and areas having high data traffic services; the multi-beams may multiply capacity and may adapt to the exploded demand in current and future information transmission.
