Abstract:
An artificial hip joint prosthesis and a mounting method, the artificial hip joint prosthesis comprising a spherical accommodating cavity (21) and a ball head (3). An outer spherical surface of the ball head (3) engages with an inner spherical surface of the accommodating cavity (21) to form a spherical hinge, which has an opening (211) having an oval or similar shape that has long and short axes to receive the ball head (3) to be mounted therein. The length of the long axis of the oval or similar shaped opening (211) is A, and the length of the short axis is B. The ball head (3) is mounted in the accommodating cavity (21), the diameter of the ball head (3) is C, and B < A ≦ C.
