The present invention relates to artificial leather and, specifically, to: artificial leather used for vehicle seat covers, wherein surface treatment for artificial leather is performed before an embossed pattern capable of adding natural leather-like texture and soft cushioning is formed thereon, whereby the artificial leather is provided with a surface treated layer having uniform thickness and thus has an excellent surface appearance; and a manufacturing method therefor.
