Abstract:
An artificial organ prepared from living cells and usable for a long period of time while maintaining the function of the living cells on a high level. The artificial organ comprises a matrix containing at least 50 % by weight of laminin, living cells dispersed in the matrix, and a housing which accomodates the matrix and the living cells and permits a liquid to be transferred to or from the exterior.
