Abstract:
Provided are an artificial photosynthesis module and an artificial photosynthesis device that have excellent energy conversion efficiency. The artificial photosynthesis module comprises: a first electrode for decomposing a material fluid by light, thereby providing a first fluid; a second electrode for decomposing the material fluid by the light, thereby providing a second fluid; and a diaphragm disposed between the first electrode and the second electrode. The diaphragm is configured from a membrane with through holes and has a transmittance of light of a wavelength range from 380 nm to 780 nm of not less than 60% when determined in a state in which the diaphragm has been immersed in 25ºC pure water for one-minute. The average hole size of the through holes of the diaphragm is more than 0.1 µm and less than 50 µm. The artificial photosynthesis device comprises the artificial photosynthesis module.
