Abstract:
This artificial photosynthesis module is used for photodecomposition of an aqueous electrolytic solution into hydrogen and oxygen. The artificial photosynthesis module comprises a hydrogen generating electrode provided with alternately arranged first protrusions and first recesses, and an oxygen generating electrode provided with alternately arranged second protrusions and second recesses. The hydrogen generating electrode and the oxygen generating electrode are contacted with the aqueous electrolytic solution, and at least one electrode of the hydrogen generating electrode and the oxygen generating electrode is provided with a conductive layer and a photocatalyst layer on the conductive layer. The hydrogen generating electrode and the oxygen generating electrode are arranged side by side, so that in the direction of arrangement, the first recesses of the hydrogen generating electrode face the second protrusions of the oxygen generating electrode and the first protrusions face the second recesses.
