The present invention relates to an artificial reef provided as a shelter for sea cucumbers, comprising: a frame having an opening which a sea cucumber inhabits and having a curved arch structure for bearing an upper load of the opening; and a protrusion which is raised along a longitudinal direction of the frame on the outer circumferential surface of the frame, and has an access hole penetrating through the frame so that the sea cucumber can move into or out from the opening, wherein a plurality of protrusions are formed on the outer circumferential surface of the frame, and the protrusions are spaced from one another so that legs of the frame can be inserted. The present invention provides a configuration and a specification thereof in which legs of an upper frame are inserted into spaces spaced between the protrusions on the surface of the lower frame when stacking the artificial reefs, to provide an extended sheltered space. Accordingly, there are advantages in that an extended space can be provided between the upper frame and the lower frame in a two-stage or multi-stage structure, and seaweed can inhabit the outer circumferential surface of the lower frame and, at the same time, a shelter for a sea cucumber may be additionally formed in the spaces spaced between protrusions on the lower frame.
