Disclosed is an artificial source surface wave exploration method, which is applicable to the technical field of the geological exploration technology. The method comprises: collecting, by a detector at a preset station, surface wave data transmitted from a seismic focus; calculating to obtain a frequency dispersion energy diagram on the basis of the vector wave-number transformational algorithm and according to the surface wave data; extracting a frequency dispersion curve from the frequency dispersion energy diagram, the frequency dispersion curve comprising a base-order surface wave frequency dispersion curve and a high-order surface wave frequency dispersion curve; and establishing an initial stratigraphic model according to the base-order surface wave frequency dispersion curve and the high-order surface wave frequency dispersion curve, and performing, according to the initial stratigraphic model, a joint inversion on the base-order surface wave frequency dispersion curve and the high-order surface wave frequency dispersion curve to obtain inverting data of a stratigraphic texture. According to the method, the accuracy of the surface wave exploration result is effectively improved. Further provided are a surface wave exploration device and a terminal device.
