Abstract:
Disclosed is a mutant Cry2Aa insecticidal protein. Based on the amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID NO. 1, the amino acid sequence of the insecticidal protein has one, two, or three mutations as follows: A) W78F; B) L144A, and C) R213E. Preferably, D) 28 amino acids are deleted at the N-terminal of the amino acid sequence. Further disclosed is a gene encoding the mutant Cry2Aa insecticidal protein, a recombinant expression vector comprising the same, and a method for improving the insect resistance of a plant using the same.
