Description:
INVENTION DESCRIPTION: ASSEMBLABLE MODULAR WASTE BAG HOLDERS FOR SELECTIVE WASTE COLLECTION

FIELD OF THE INVENTION:

The invention relates to the field of equipment for selective collection or disposal of waste or other garbage from households or industry, and according to International Patent Classification it is closest to B65B 67/12, indicated as sack holders, meaning the base or frame with bag lifting equipment, for easy charging objects or materials.

TECHNICAL PROBLEM

Nowadays, more attention is paid to the re- utilization of waste generated in households and industry. The waste usually was, and nowadays still is disposed at the point of its origin in one container or in one place, and for its beneficial use it is necessary to perform subsequent selection and separation of waste which causes additional costs. On the other hand there is a trend of waste selection at the source - plastic is collected in one container, paper in another, carton in the third, organic waste in fourth, glass in the fifth and so on, depending on the types of waste to be sorted and quantities of each type of waste. For such a selective waste collection it is necessary to have adequate containers for disposal that take up place, as they have a considerable volume. In these containers are put special bags which, once they are full, need to be pulled out from the containers, as vehicles that would collect waste selectively are not in use.

Waste containers, especially in the industry, are quite bulky and their delivery from the manufacturer to the end user entails higher costs due to shipping costs of large volume products. Furthermore, at the present time, when buying of goods moves on the Internet as a strong trend, where the delivery of ordered goods is performed by mail or courier service, the volume of the product that needs to be delivered to the end customer has become an important issue. Delivery of waste containers of 80 or 120 liters of volume, which are commonly produced for disposal in household and industry, will quickly fill up the volume of the pickup and it will unnecessarily occupy it, which leads to higher shipping costs. A user who wants and intends to selectively dispose the waste should have at least four bins for waste disposal. The delivery of these four buckets is a problem for end user, especially shipping cost. Assemblage modular waste bag holder for selective waste collection has many times smaller volume when transported between producers and end-users because it consists of separable elements and take up only few cubic decimeters in transit.

Furthermore, it allows the user to assemble from the set of elements, like Lego, the combination of holders for one bag, two bags, three, four, six or eight bags, according to user's needs. The user can also use only a part of these elements, that is the bag holder with lid that holds the bag open.

PRIOR ART:

Search for prior art, specifically the patent bases PATENTOSCOPE, USPTO and ESPACENET, showed that there are patented inventions or patent applications which solve a waste disposal problem using the bags, in a way that the bag has its own holder and in some cases the lid, as indicated in patent application US 2010/0252694 A1 called FLEXIBLE BAG HOLDER, but these inventions don't offer a modular design option. Patent US 5826830 called TRASH BAND STAND protects the invention of a single bag holder, but this holder has no lid and no way of fixing the bag to the frame like in present invention.

Patent US 5411229 called BAG HOLDER protects the invention of a single bag holder, but the concept of such holder doesn't allow combining more holders in modular construction.

Patents and patent applications that include assemblage multipart modular waste bag holder for waste collection haven't been found, nor the existence of such product in the market. BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE PRESENT INVENTION:

The present invention relates to assemblable modular waste bag holders for selective waste collection in the households and industry at the point of its origin and it solves the primary problem of reducing shipping and packaging costs of the product, because the modular waste bag holder consists of several elements whose combinations allow the construction of a holder for one, two, three, four, six or eight bags, depending on customer's needs, and above all, the user can only use the frame without metal structures, which frame can be screwed on the wall or otherwise secured to a firm foothold (for Example pillar or tree in nature). Because the holder is actually made in parts, when packed it takes up very little volume in relation to the finished assembled product, which in the case of holder for four bags takes the dimensions that are larger than 150 cm x 80 cm x 45 cm. While these elements are packaged, they take up the dimensions of 110 cm x 45 cm x 12 cm, which is the volume of the product decreased over nine times.

At the present time, very attractive way of product purchase is the one through Internet. However, such a purchase means that someone needs to deliver the product to the customer. In the case of assemblable modular waste bag holders for selective waste collection, the customer doesn't receive assembled product but in parts, which are modular prefabricated elements designed and constructed in such a way that the customers, with a minimum of skill, compile according to their needs, waste bag holder for one up to eight waste bags, which is accomplished by adding new modules to the core assembly of the holder.

A secondary problem that is solved by the present invention is optimization in production of waste bag holders, because at least nine final products can be produced by combining various basic elements, thereby reducing operating costs, especially the cost of tooling for production. For example, to produce a four bag holder, the same parts are manufactured as for two bag holder, with additional elements that relate solely to the frame that holds the bag.

The third problem solved by the present invention is the suitability of the waste bag holder for using the bags of different volumes. For example, if the public utility company of a region uses 120 liters bags for separate waste collection, the holders for such bags shall not be suitable for 80 liter bags. This invention solves the issue of height adjustment for the bag holders, so that one holder for four bags can be adjusted in a way to carry two 80 liters bags and two 120 liters bags.

The fourth problem solved by the present invention is to achieve mobility of the entire structure, because regardless of the performance, there is a possibility to mount four wheels on the bottom of the finished structure, whereby the waste bag holders actually transform into carts that allow separate collection of waste or other material. It is also recommended to mount the plate which carries the bottoms of the bags.

The basic elements of the assemblage modular waste bag holder for selective waste collection are the two main supports that are made from solid materials, whether metal, plastic, wooden materials or other composite materials, whereby the main supports touch or rest on the surface in at least two points, which ensures stability of the waste bag holder, because this way it is stabilized in the four points.

On every main support is placed one shaft for horizontal support which serves to fix the horizontal support in relation to the type of modular waste bag holder that the user wants to assemble, which support can be carried out in several ways.

The horizontal support may be designed as a compact or can be made in segments which are connected by the compatible clip, which in the preferred embodiment is screwed with elements that make the horizontal support, but it can also connect by the screwless detachable connection, for example, the plastic insert. In a preferred embodiment, the horizontal support is carried out and produced in two main segments, that is as a single horizontal support with two angles or single horizontal angle support, wherein a single horizontal support with two angles is intended for embodiment of the narrow waste bag holders for one or two bags, while the single bag holder can be still carried out as a combination of two single angle supports, the single horizontal support and two clips.

Each horizontal support is performed, regardless of the mode of performance, with at least one shaft for vertical support that is designed in the way that the vertical support and a corresponding shaft have the possibility of adjusting the total length, which enables the use of waste bags of different volume, for example, if a plastic bag has a volume of 80 liters, the total length consisting of a shaft for vertical support and a vertical support is smaller than it is in the case of length consisting of a shaft for vertical support and a vertical support by the use of the waste bags of 120 liters.

In a preferred embodiment, this is accomplished in a manner that the shaft for vertical support and the vertical support are equipped with holes of appropriate diameter, through which is by screws fixed the desired height .

This does not limit the possibility of vertical support for telescopic pullout of the shaft for vertical support, or for example, that vertical support is screwed into the shaft for vertical support, where the screw thread determines the length of the assembly consisting of the shaft for vertical support and vertical support, and thus directly and fine determines the height of the waste bag holder.

Elements of the modular bag holder, especially main supports, shafts for horizontal supports, horizontal supports, vertical supports and shafts for vertical supports and clips are usually performed by the profiled material either square or circular cross-section, whereby these materials may be full, but they may also be hollow to reduce the construction weight of the holder. There are no obstacles to perform the elements of a modular bag holder from materials of other sections, such as "I" or "U" profiles.

In a preferred embodiment, the outer frame and the outer frame holder are made as one element, preferably from durable materials such as metal, whereby the inner frame is fixed to the outer frame holder with the pin. If a user wants to keep the bag on the holder closed to avoid insects or spreading the bad odors, or to prevent rain falling into the bag, there is a possibility to attach the lid using the same pin, in a way that lid rotates around the pin and opens and closes the bag opening, lying over the inner frame which is fixed to the outer frame.

In a preferred embodiment, the inner frame as well as the lid and the pin are made by injection molding process from plastic resistant to weathering and UV rays. However, there is no obstacle to be made of metal or other suitable material.

In a preferred embodiment, it is recommended to galvanize all the metal parts made of sheet metal or steel profiles, however this parts can be plastic coated or painted with paint resistant to weathering. Besides, if special aesthetic performances of a modular waste bag holder are required, it is possible to use INOX or lightweight aluminum profiles.

In addition to waste disposal, these bag holders, especially the ones with mounted wheels, find their purpose in hotels for the collection of used bedding, as well as in hospitals, nursing homes and other places where it is necessary to selectively collect certain parts / items, where is required the mobility of such holders, which basically transform into the carts. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF AT LEAST ONE WAY OF CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION

One mode of carrying out the invention is shown with the elements in Figure 2, and can be accomplished in a way that two pieces of the main support (2) are made out of square steel profile section 18x18x1.5 mm, that by bending in two places at 90 0 is formed in the shape of the letter "U" approx. 15 centimeters of height and a width of approx. 50 cm.

On the part that makes the vertex of the letter U is welded a square piece of steel profile 15x15x1 ,5 mm with the hole of 6 mm in diameter, which makes a shaft for horizontal support (4). After this, the two single horizontal angle supports (14) are made of a square steel section 18x18x1 ,5 mm, in the way that the pipe of length 60 cm is bent in the middle at 90 °. At one upper end of each pipe is welded shaft for vertical support (8) on which are already punctured two holes of 6 mm in diameter, in the way that they are performed at such a distance that, depending on which hole the vertical support is screwed (12), we get the bag holder for the bags of 120 liters (if screwed in higher hole) or 80 liters (if screwed in the lower hole). At each end of a single horizontal angle support is punctured one hole of 6 mm in diameter.

For binding the single horizontal angle support it is used clip (10) which is made of square steel profiles 15x15x1 ,5 mm, and the length of 25 cm. Then, the two vertical supports (12) of 50 cm in length are made from the square-section steel profile 18x18x1 ,5 mm, with one end having a hole of 6 mm in diameter, and the other end, which will be the upper part, two holes of 6 mm in diameter.

Thereafter, the two outer frames (18) are manufactured from the steel sheet of 1.5 mm of thickness, by cutting and bending, which connect to the "ring" at the two ends by welding. Two outer frame holders (20) are manufactured from the steel sheet of 1.5 mm of thickness in punching process, in a manner that they are simultaneously formed into the desired shape of a letter U, and punctured with 6 holes of 6 mm in diameter. Each outer frame holder (20) is then welded to the outer frame (18). After that, all steel parts are galvanized. In the plastic injection molding process using pre-made tools, two pieces of the cover (22), two pieces of the inner frame (16) and two pieces of the pin (24) are manufactured. To connect all the parts of the unit are used screws (26) with nuts (28) of 6 mm in diameter. Then all the elements assemble according to technological designated positions as shown in Figure 2, resulting with holder for two bags.

Another way of carrying out the invention, as shown in Figure 3, is in the case of holder for three bags, for which is necessary to manufacture, in previously described processes, following elements: two pieces of main supports(2) with shaft for horizontal support (4), one piece of single horizontal angle support (14) with shaft for vertical support (8), one clip (10), three vertical supports (12), three inner frames (16), three outer frames (18) welded to the outer frame holder (20), three covers (22) and three pins (24). Moreover, it is necessary to manufacture a double horizontal angle support (32) which is made of a square steel section 18x18x1 ,5 mm, in the way that the pipe of 100 cm of length is bent approximately 30 cm from one end at 90 °, at each end is punctured one hole of 6 mm in diameter in the way, that they are performed at such a distance that, depending on which hole the vertical support is screwed (12), we get the bag holder for the bags of 120 liters (if screwed in higher hole) or 80 liters (if screwed in the lower hole). At each end of a single horizontal angle support is punctured one hole of 6 mm in diameter, and two shafts for vertical support are welded on the longer arm. After this, the obtained metal piece is galvanized. To connect all the parts of the unit are used screws (26) with nuts (28) of 6 mm in diameter. Then all the elements assemble according to technological designated positions as shown in Figure 3, resulting with holder for three bags.

Additional possible mode of carrying out the invention is shown in Figure 3 and represents a modification in relation to the above-described mode, entirely understandable from the image, and also for three bags. Furthermore, there are described three ways of carrying out the holder for four bags, as shown on images 5, 6 and 7, which are in relation with previously described modes of carrying out the invention completely understandable for the expert in this area.

Image 9 shows a mode of carrying out the invention in the way that from a single bag holder, shown in the image 1 , is made a holder for two bags, using the different elements in the previously described procedure.

Also by adding the new elements, whereby each set of new elements contains: cover (22), inner frame (16), outer frame (18) with outer frame holder (20) and pin (24) to the waste bag holders intended for holding the bags on the one side only, it is obtained a holder for four bags, as shown in image 10, furthermore a holder for six bags, as shown in image 1 1 and finally, a holder for eight bags, as shown in image 12.

One of the ways to carry out the invention is as described in relation to image 2, whereby the wheels are mounted to each leg of the main support (2), which legs are lever arms of the reversed letter„U", which forms the carts for waste bags.

Moreover, another way to carry out the invention is to mount the removable steel plate sheet on the vertex of the letter„U", on the both main supports (2) whereby the bottoms of the bags sit on that plate, as shown in image 13. Additionally, on the lever arms of the reversed letter„U"of the main support can be added four wheels, which forms a cart with washer.
