Abstract:

[Problem] To easily and quickly fix a bind bar in position without damaging reliability. [Solution] In an assembled battery, a pair of end plates (3) disposed on an end surface of a battery layered body (5) formed by layering a plurality of square battery cells (1) is bound with a plurality of bind bars (4) which are made of metal. The bind bars (4) are each provided with bent pieces (4X) formed by bending both end portions of each of the bind bars (4) in the same direction, and the bent pieces (4X) are bent on the both ends of the bind bar (4) and formed into a substantially U-letter shape in cross section, and the bent pieces (4X) on the both ends are connected to the pair of end plates (3), thereby holding the battery layered body (5) through the pair of end plates (3) with the battery layered body sandwiched therebetween. The bent piece (4X) has a bent piece side fit structure (7) on the connection portion with the end plate (3), and the end plate (3) has an end plate side fit structure (6) on a position where the end plate (3) faces the bent piece (4X). In the assembled battery, the bent piece side fit structure (7) and the end plate side fit structure (6) are fitted with each other, thereby fixing in position the pair of end plates (3) with the bind bar (4).
