Abstract:
An assembly jig (4) comprises: a dummy outer ring (6) on which a tapered roller (2) is mounted; an inner ring mounting member (7) that maintains an inner ring (1) so that a small flange section thereof faces vertically downward; an inner ring retention member (8) for retaining an end section of a large-diameter side of the inner ring (1); and a segment pressing member (9). The segment pressing member (9) has a plurality of comb-shaped members (91), and the tapered roller (2) can be accommodated in notches of the comb-shaped members (91). A bolt is used to fasten each comb-shaped member (91) to the inner ring retention member (8). A pillar section of a segment (31) with which the tapered roller (2) is retained is pressed toward the inner ring (1) by a segment engagement section (95) of each comb-shaped member (91), and the tapered roller (2) is positioned on an outer peripheral tapered raceway surface (11) of the inner ring (1).
